Think Global Every few months we run a hackathon where teens compete in teams to solve a real problem that will benefit the world through AI and other technologies. More than that though, the levels of sharing and communication with people who, in many cases, they had just met was incredible. I enjoyed learning about different types of jobs out there, such as a developer or UX designer. Our goal is therefore to help nurture teens, set them on the path to growth, and guide them through opportunities that are available to them. Laila has become involved in the Acorn Aspirations family and has had the opportunity to attend lectures at Cambridge University and take part in workshops at Imperial College. Another very useful thing I learnt was the different tools available to create prototypes such as Marvel. There is no reason for girls not to thrive as creators of technology as well as consumers of it.
